Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

This week on Mo's we have another fab challenge, before i get to it, let me vent my frustration.  We have been off line all day today, no cell phones, no internet, GGGGRRR!!! this is possibly the tenth time i am writing this post too since blogger kept giving me an error code.
Ok for our challenge this week on Mos challenge blog our challenge is "Inspired by a book or story"
My story is actually a movie, "A star is born" now i know that its a movie, but surely it had to be a story fist.
The image i am using is Wednesdays child available from Mo's store Here
image colored with copics and then i had this fluff laying around in one of my drawers from some styrofoam balls and used it on her coat, has a lovely shimmer to the white.
I used an Ek success to add the punched border around my image i thought it almost looks like the punched edge of a film strip and then i airbrushed a spotlight for my little diva.
have a great weekend

Magnolia-licious dt

Time again for another Magnolia-licious challenge and i am your host again this week.
I found this image on the net and loved it, sure by now you know that i have a weakness for pinks and shabby chic/ anything pretty.
For my card i used:  #532 Romantic window and #377 Travelling Tilda available for purchase from Magnolia-licious store where you will get amazing service from Diana aswell as discount.
My image was colored with copics, sorry i know i have gotta try and remember to add my colors, i just had to add loads of my teeny tiny pearls, i just love these, and keep your eyes peeled as i am gonna be sharing soon, as really i just have more than any one person should own.
I distressed all my edges for the shabby feel and added a doily for the chic bit, there is also a bit of hessian peeping out there and cotton lace, finally a lush piece of tulle that i found in my sewing kit.  Last but not least flowers and a couple of hat pins made by moi.
Please do come and join us the girls on the team as per their usual style of fabulous have some awesome creations to inspire you.

Hope you are all having a wonderfully creative week

Stamp club kit inspiration

I wanted to get right in and play with my new stamp kit, especially since it has had a few negative remarks.  Personally i LOVE this new kit and am sure that there will be lots of inspiration to come, so if you still have yours, dont be hasty in selling it or giving it away.
My first ensemble is a rocket party favour that one could fill with smarties or astros, any small sweets i geuss.
I made this rocket with an old toilet roll inner and just embossed some silver paper, wrapped it around and adhered it.  The top is a cone shape that i made using the principle of cutting a circle and then cutting away a quarter of the circle to make a cone.  When i covered the round toilet roll inner i made sure that the top of the paper would extend over the top of the tube so that i could make slits in it and then adhered those slits to the inside of the cone.

i then just covered the bottom opening with a circle.  Cut triangles for the legs, only needing three as Tilda then is the fourth support.  Added lots of rhinestones from my stash.  Tilda was oclored with my copics and i gave her fishbowl a good going over with glossy accents.

My second little ensemble is a card using the new "cheerleader" and i love the red and white combo that some of the cheerleaders wear so thats what i used.  She is colored with copics and her pom poms were given a lavish going over with stickles, i also found a gelly roll in amongst my pens that i had clean forgotten about and i used it on the trim of her skirt and also on the boots of our little Astronaut, love the effect and far more slimmer than the spica.  My red and white paper was made by Moi, using a stamp and some white embossing powder on the red cardstock and plain ol ink on the white.
I added loads of flowers from my stash and a Marianne flourish to finish it off.
the sentiments are computer generated.

Have a great weekend and hope that those of you that got this stamp club kit will use it and share all your great creations with the rest of us humble bloggers.

Emerald Faerie

hi friends, today i wanted to share this amazing image from Emerald Faeries, i received a couple of these images in a swap a couple of weeks ago and thought i just have to use this, are they not darling?
Then while chatting to a friend of mine she reminded me that they are having a challenge on Emerald faeries challenge blog where their challenge is for "petals", and i am sure by now you all now how much i love my flowers, so i just had to do something with this image.  I colored the image with my copics and added lots of stardust stickles to the wings.  Added a few teeny tiny pearls around the image so it would look as if there was a bit of pollen flying around and the magic of spring.  I used one of my nestie labels to cut my image and a MS border punch to add another layer for my ribbon to go across.

Added some corsage pins to the bow and a "few" flowers.  With another one of my pearly flourishes along the side of my card.
I decorated the inside of my card as well which i just think finishes off a card nicely.
Hope everyone is having a fab weekend

Totally Tilda

Hi blogettese, a couple of weeks ago i entered the challenge on Totally Tilda and was pleasantly surprised to win!  Well for the prize you got to be the geust for their challenge, so this is my geust spot on the Totally Tilda challenge blog and they want you to use your darling little Tilda on anything but a card.
Well after searching through my repetoire of crafting knowleged i recalled having made these candle a lon while ago and thought there would be no harm in redoing it.
So for the challenge i colored my image onto vellum, which is not easy as the vellum has a smooth surface, then i took a piece of sandwich was wrap, wrapped it around the candle and image, and heated it with my heat gun, VOILA! its stuck to the candle.
A simple trick but looks so sweet and the recipient always thinks you so clever when you give it to them.
I then had to make a box to put it into, so cut a little lantern type box with acetate windows, a firm box in the centre to stablize the candle and a ribbon wrapped around it with a ribbon on the top, done!  The image i have used is a mini available from Magnolia-licious store and she is Christmas morning Tilda item #3009.
Do pop over to Totally Tilda  challenge blog and join the challenge
till next time

The papers that i've used are all from Prima and i just love these, so i am sure you will see me using them quite a bit in the future.  the punch i used around my card is an Ek success punch and the pearls are from my stash, as usual i stuck them down individually sinc ethe pearls i use are not self adhesive, so i lay down dots of glue and then add the pearls.

Mo's dp 2 challenge dt

time is just flying by and its itme for another fab challenge at Mo's dp 2 challenge blog and this week its "tags"
i never make tags and in the last two weeks i have made two sets of tags.  i did think i could get an early start to my Christmas stash, i know we dont celebrate Christmas, but it doesnt mean that i dont have friends that celebrate and would love a little gift with a cute Mo tag.
so after all the deliberating i made Christmas tags, had to print the images quite small for the tags, but i love the way they turned out.  The images i used are all available from Mo's store.
I used a Marianne die for the tags and a Nellie Snellen punch for the flowers adding lots of stardust stickles to my imges as well as the flowers, and these great pearly brads that i got at the NEC last year and clean forgot i had them.

I look forward to seeing what everybody else will do with their tags, so do pop in and enter our challenge.

Magnolia-licious dt

Hi friends we have a new challenge on the Magnolia-licious challenge blog hosted by your truly "me"
I just have such a weakness for "PINK" so i added this little pic for the inspiration!
I have been meaing to get a new address book for ages now since i have so many overseas friends/ blogger buddies that i had to do something.  What better than to use one of our darling Tilda's to alter the cover.

Used a few of my NS punches to add "call me" to the cover, a new MS border punch and a few butterflies.
I popped my image for a bit of dimension, and have already started adding all my friends names and addresses and will probably need another one any day now, lol

This dahling little Tilda is #321 available from Magnolia-licious store where you will be sure to get excellent service, with a smiles!
Do pop past the Challenge blog and check out what the rest of the dt have made to inspire you and join in our fab challenge

Totally gorjuss dt

Its that time of week when we have a new challenge for you on Totally gorjusss and this week i am sure you'll all wanna join in since the challenge is "flower power" i know this is right up my alley since i add flowers to most of my projects.
for my card i am using one of my LOTV stamps that are starting to collect dust in the drawer, poor dears.  She is colored with my copics and i just had to add lots of flower soft to that lovely scarf she has wrapped around her for the added pop.
My image was cut out with a Nellie Snellen, i sometimes find them a little small for my images, but the LOTV images are the perfect size.  I added lots of pearls around the die and then added a lovely flourishy pearl down the side of my card, made with laying down the dots of glue and then adding these teeny tiny pearls.
My dp is a Mellisa Francis and the flowers are from my stash.  Now pull out all those flowers that you're hoarding in your stash and use them to wow us for our challenge.
