SUMMER!!!!!

You see me calling for summer, its so darn cold here today, one would never geuss we lived in Africa.  Do you remember a few months ago i was complaining of the heat, well now i gotta complain of the cold, i really wouldnt mind, if it would just snow and be done with.  So here is a nice summery image in the hope that it would warm me a up a tad.

Summer tilda and her tube, colored with copics and added a bit of glaze to the tube to make it shine, stickles on the water to give it a bit of a shimer and some swirly rhinestones and layered flowers with rhinestone centres.

entering this one into three challenges:
Just Magnolia they want you to depict HOT and nothing says it better than a summery Beachy scene
stamptacular sunday who also want some of the beach
Magnolia down under want us to use flowers.
think i covered all bases with this one.

Mag's birthday bash & recipe

Hi blog hopper, sure you wouldnt wann live in SA right now, or more specifically JHB, it FREEZING!  Just the right kind of weather for crafting.  So my first post today is this new "ballerina tilda", colored with copics and glittzed almost beyond recognition, i gave her crown some rhinestones too, cut with colluzle and nestie, i made these ballet shoes cos i thought they would be a nice addition to this ensemble.
I'm gonna enter this into the Magnolialicious birthday bash challenge 3 using their sketch
I flipped the sketch cos i preferred it this way.
Then i am gonna enter this card for the challenge on stamp something, and they have a recipe to follow:  dp, a ribbon, a bow and a tag.
Well see you shortly with the next one, he he, hope everyone is having a great weekend

Totally gorjuss dt

Oh My! i seem to be late for everything these days i just HATE! tardiness i really think it is the height of rudeness so what can people be thinking of me these days?  I must really apologise.

The challenge on totally gorjuss this week is things with wings.  I have used an image from LOTV which i just adore, i am not too sure of this card, my coloring mojo seems to be in a bit of a slump, the papers are from paper pizzaz.  I distressed the edges with a bit of distress ink, pumice stone, added a few flowers and lots of bling to my fairy.

I used the sketch from LOTV challenge blog so that i can enter it there also.
Hope you are all having a creative weekend, and will try to do more this week.

A Spoonfull of sugar dt

I know i am really late with this post today, been way hectic trying to get orders wrapped and sent in the post and i am also working on invitations for a friend of mine whose father is haivng his 70th birthday, well just been busy.

This challenge is gonna run for the next two weeks and the challenge on A spoon full of sugar is to create a card for a celebration.  We are also being sponsored for this challenge by Bunny Zoe crafts and whimsy stamps, well does that not wet the appetite girls.
I used one of the older Tilda's today for this challenge and although she is one of the oldies i havent used her and isnt she just the cutest, looks like she is dressed in her grannies clothes, how outdated is her fashion sense, he he.

Well blog hoppers, i colored her with my copics, gave her the glittah treatment, added a couple of pearls and a few flowers, MS border punch and a bit of ribbon.
I used the sketch from Friday Sketches and will enter this one on their challenge blog.

Just Magnolia

I colored this image a while ago and have never used it, so i decided that this may be the perfect opportunity, she is such a darling image and one of those that i truly adore, i think i have been fearful of using her cos she came as a Christmas image, but sure why not use her for any occasion.

I made this card following the sketch on Just Magnolia, but i flipped the sketch as it worked better for me this way around, he he, hope its allowed.  Colored with copic, sorry no pic of colors i colored it so long ago and never took note.  Dp and all the product i used is from the stash, the dp is scraps from the stash.  Gave her lots of the glittah treatment.

DT call for Mo's dream team

Hi blog hoppers, i have decided to try out forMo's dream team.  I printed off a whole lot of Mo's images quite some time ago and have only recently started coloring them, i think it has something to do with waiting for my new stamps to arrive and needing a change of scenery.

For the life of my i dont remeber what this beauty is called, i think its Wednesdays child, colored with my copics.
Lots of glittah! as i am sure you will see if you click on the pic,

Dp is Stacey Claire Boyd, ribbon and slider from my stash as is the large flower.  I inked all the edges so they wouldnt be so stark and just for fun i added some puff pen to the fur along the edges of her gown.

Bling it on

That time of the week again blog hoppers, over on Totally gorjuss its time to "bling it on" and we are being sponsored by crafters companion who have tons of great bling available, besides for tons of other yumminess, so i hope thats enough of an excuse to join us.
Can you see the bling?  My ever present worry these days is that you cant see the bling in the photos, all those gorgeous stickles and you cant always see them :(

for my card this week i really cant tell you what possessed me to go so bright, but i really think that sixties Tilda could handle the bright pink and white polka dots, colored with my copics, see the picture.  For a change i didnt have to use half my collection of copics to achieve the colors i wanted.  I seated her on the large cupcake also from Magnolia.   The ehite background paper i also stamped using a background stamp from a local SA company, the white dots on the pink background is also SA from a company called Dalro.  I used three sizes of bling down the side of my card and a MS punch around my image.

Mo's challenge

I am really enjoying these images from Mo, i have had them for quite sometime printed and readyto use, just never used them and now that i am totally taken with them my printer has blown up with my pc, so its just as well that when i got these all that time ago i printed a few.

Over on Mo's challenge blog they wanna see the love, "whats love got to do with it"  well please G"d i should get to the age of this couple and surely by then i will know exactly what love has to do with it, my husband and i are gonna be celebrating 21 years together this year June and i do know that i am still IN love with him, not sure how long these warm fuzzies last for, but they still happening for us.

so sorry i didnt make a note of the copics that i used, the sentiment is from whiff of joy, the dp is Calambour, the flat backed pearls are from the stash and the flowers are also from my stash.

Whiff of joy challenge / dt

This week on whiff of joy the challenge is a color combo, brown, blue and yellow.  The girls have done a fab job as usual, so pop over to have a look and enter our challenge.

I decided that since i had a bit of time on my hands which isnt too often these days i would do something a little different.  I have used three stamps for this challenge and took an age to color and decide how i was gonna put the whole thing together.  After much reflection it tells a little story, the pidgeon bringing the post air mail, the postie delivering the post and finally arrival in the letter box.

Images colored with copics, my new favorite feathers, made a few mini envelopes to embellish the inside and had a stamp of a sheaf of paper and used that for the sender of the card to write a message onto.  Hope this inspires you to join us .

Please leave me some feedback...................

A spoonfull of sugar dt meets dotties world and just Magnolia

Oh wow i love this image from charmed and delectable, "sitting pretty", She is so sweet and reminds me of Bilbi long stocking.  I seated her on a bench from Magnolia and colored with my copics, see the pic for the colors i have used.

Well since i used this sitting pretty Annie, i am gonna enter her in Dottie's world challenge, i also used their sketch which i absolutely loved, then since i used the bench from Magnolia i am gonna enter her into the Just Magnolia challenge who want one for the girls, and along the way i got to make a really girly card for the my dt submission for ASFOS, how cool is that.

My paper is from paper pizzaz, cherry blossoms from my stash and so are the large rose buds.
I didnt cut this one with a nestie i used my colluzzle, and if anyone is interested and dont own any nesties, let me know, i can show you how and it really was very easy.

Happy birthday Magnolialicious

I dont think i have had so much fun creating anything in ages.  The birthday bash for Magnolialicious 2nd birthday started yesterday with a blog hop, and then the challenge is to create an EXPLOSION BOX!!

Well since it is a birthday i thought to use the theme in my box.  The images i used are not essentially birthday, as they were released as Christmas collection, however i do think since they dipict Tilda with prezzies they can be used for Birthdays.  I used tons of stickles, but unfortunately you never see them as well in photos, so thats a bit of a bummer :(, then i also made the little prezzies to go onto and into my box, my images were colored with copics, sorry girls i forgot in my excitement to make a list or take a picture.  I made a swirly for the inside of my box with acetate to attach some streamers and balloons.

Oh the picture dont do it justice, even if i say so myself, i am so pleased with this, hope this will inspire you to take part, it is so much easier than it looks, and they have a tutorial that you can follow, so how dificult can it be.tutorial
